Project-Based Learning
- Students will focus on real-world, global and civic awareness; economic, business and entrepreneurial literacy; health and wellness awareness, and environmental literacy.
- Students will integrate projects using all content areas: Reading, Writing, Math, Research/Library, Technology, Music, Art, Physical Education, Science, and Social Studies.
- Students will have personalized, technology-enhanced projects that allow them to explore topics of interest and to develop their passions
- Students will develop projects that address community issues and needs and they will work in collaboration with parents, community members, businesses and organizations.
K-2 Projects
PuppeteersStudents will explore the entrepreneurial world through selling pickles. The students will be immersed in plays throughout the month, and eventually create a puppet show. They will need supplies for the puppet show, and will have to make decisions about what to purchase based on their profits from the business. The students will be selling “pickles” and “pickle pops,” and explore solids and liquids with the pickles and juices.
